AN EXTRA PAIR OF EYES

These stories will introduce you to a side of police work you’ve never seen – and to a group of heroes you’ve never met. EYES puts the reader in the front seat of a police unit, lets us experience some of the drama, the danger and the joy of volunteers helping law enforcement in all kinds of situations.

The senior volunteer whose stories fill this delightful book are anything but lightweight. Funny and touching by turns, the day-to-day adventures of these gray-haired law enforcers will have you ready to sigh up for duty.

Follow the volunteers as they assist deputies at a fatal high school shooting, go with them to the site of a down airplane, or ride with them as they go out with homicide detectives in the Murder Home.

“With one touch, he knows your most intimate secrets”

A man wakes up in a hospital ER in terrible pain.  He can’t remember who he is, but discovers he can read the mind of anyone he touches. He blurts out to ER nurse, Robin Guyer, that she isn’t frigid as she believes. Robin is intrigued – especially after she’s seen him naked.

Identified as Brian Wakefield, he struggles to remember his past while trying to avoid touching anyone. The images he receives are very intimate, and they give him terrible headaches. When his lawyer visits, Brian touches the man and realizes he’s stolen all of Brian’s money, and he was behind the beating that landed Brian in the hospital.

Brian convinces Robin to come to his room late at night so he can help her with her “problem.” She agrees and has mind-blowing sex with Brian. She falls a little bit in love with him.

A man named Phelps appears in Brian’s hospital room in the middle of the night. Phelps tells Brian he can help him control his mysterious gift so he can live a normal life. He also advises Brian that he and his organization have gotten Brian’s money back, and will take care of the nefarious lawyer, and then he disappears.

Brian wakes in the morning, thinking it was all a dream – until he finds a business card Phelps left. With a shock he sees on television that the lawyer committed suicide.

Released from the hospital, Brian asks Robin to come with him, help nurse him back to health and be his companion. He likes the woman and enjoys having sex with her. Robin is more than willing. Sex with Brian is like nothing she’s ever experience before.

They go to Brian’s apartment and find his money has all been returned. There are also plane tickets to fly east to Phelps’ institute. Brian’s torn between learning to control his mysterious gift and being with Robin. In the end, he discovers a way to do both.

Still here!

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Well, needless to say, I’m still sitting here in San Diego. It’s February 14, and the outside temperature is 84 freakin’ degrees! Get me outta here. We thought we’d sold our house – got a good all cash offer and then ran around like demented mice getting the house ready for inspection. Then we waited, and waited, and….the blankety, blank buyer backed out after a week! Oy, can you say angry? My poor hubby was all set to fly to Coos Bay, Oregon to pick up or new Honda Fit, and did I mention it’s PURPLE? Had to cancel his plane reservation, hotel….well, you know.

So, now the house is back on the market and….no one is coming by to look! I have a dear friend who lives in Montana who has been trying to sell her house for TWO YEARS!!!! I shudder. Of course, she’s 15 miles outside of Helena and has 40 acres. Now, our spread is nowhere near that grand and everyone keep telling us it will sell fast but….it’s been on the market since November!

Please send good thoughts our way – better yet, send a buyer. We’re both most anxious to head north with the dogs to start our new life. I”m going to go now and drown myself in Valentines chocolate.

“Mysterious Gift” will be out in five days!!!! Watch for it.
